The General Assembly of YMCAs is the Y's national convening — held every few years, it brings Y leaders, staff, and volunteers from across the country into one room. The 2026 edition landed on a milestone: 175 years since the first YMCA in the United States opened in Boston in 1851. It ran for three days in September at New Orleans' Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, with roughly 8,000 people in the general session hall.
Brand Apart brought Fort Studios in to build the LED graphics for the entire event. The stage was one 11,520 × 2,160 raster — an inverted-triangle center screen flanked by angled wings — and every piece was built to that pixel map and delivered as DXV for Resolume playback.
The deliverable list was the whole run-of-show: openers, pre-show loops, bumpers, stingers, transitions, speaker backgrounds, speaker transitions, lower thirds, an awards look, looks for the musical performances, a day-two closer, the finale — and a trivia game built for the room. More than 115 individual pieces in all.
There was no single concept to hang it on. The throughline was the event brand, built with the Brand Apart team and carried through a shared motion toolkit, so a speaker transition on day one and the finale on day three read as the same show. The brief landed in May; the show ran in September.
Fort Studios was brought in by creative agency Brand Apart to build the LED graphics for the full General Assembly run-of-show.
